Frequently Asked Questions

Can I just use drain cleaner from the store?

Chemical drain cleaners can work on minor clogs, but they’re hard on your pipes — especially older copper or cast iron. They also don’t always reach the actual blockage. If you’ve tried it and the drain is still slow, the clog is likely further down the line and needs to be physically cleared.

Why does my drain keep clogging in the same spot?

Recurring clogs usually mean there’s a buildup issue in a specific section of pipe, or a structural problem — like a belly in the line or root intrusion — that’s catching debris. If a drain keeps coming back, it’s worth having the line inspected with a camera to see what’s going on.

Multiple drains are slow at once — what does that mean?

When more than one drain is slow or backing up at the same time, it’s almost always a main sewer line issue, not individual clogs. This needs to be addressed quickly — a blocked main line can cause sewage to back up into the house.

Do you do camera inspections?

Yes. If a drain is recurring or we suspect a deeper issue, we can run a camera through the line to see exactly what’s going on before recommending a fix.
