Proud to Help Preserve the Historic Frazee House

If you’ve driven down Raritan Road, you’ve passed the Frazee House — the roughly 300-year-old farmhouse where, as local legend goes, Betty Frazee stood up to a British general during the Revolutionary War. It’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and a dedicated group has spent years carefully restoring it.

Part of that restoration was a new, ADA-accessible restroom so the public could finally visit the site comfortably. We handled the plumbing for it — running new water and waste lines from the street all the way to the new building.

We didn’t touch the historic house itself, and that was the whole point. The goal is to preserve as much of the original structure as possible, so the new restroom was built completely separate from it. We coordinated closely with the conservation specialist on the project and took extra care in the trenching — we were digging through original, undisturbed soil on a site that’s been here since the 1700s.
